As a result of the great work by the Aspire to be Deadly Team, the fantastic collaborative partnerships, and the commitment of the Aspire students and families, we have seen strong 6 month outcomes exceeding our outcomes and ensuring more indigenous young women and girls are taking advantage of Aspire Programs.

The Aspire Schools Program across the Torres Strait was the largest program on record with programs being delivered supporting strong school attendance and a commitment to respecting school, community, and self under the Live Well, Learn Well, Lead Well aims.

Aspire has seen an increase in community collaborative partnerships, awareness of programs within the regions and more indigenous players are registered at Cairns Hockey than ever before. The Aspire to be Deadly Team continue to deliver Empower Me Program, Hockey Fun Zone, Aspire Schools, Deadly 5’s and School to Club all building capacity, learning new skills and developing leadership.
