Big Month Ahead for Aspire to be DeadlySeptember 2, 2021

  • Grand Finals – 4th September 2021 – completing the highly successful School to Club Program 2021
  • Last week of the Empower Me and Hockey Fun Zone with our Aspire Mentors engaging with Trinity Bay High, TAS, Bentley Park High, Cairns West Primary and Balaclava – Safer Streets Program. It’s been a busy program and we are looking forward to sharing our Term 4 program focusing on communication and team building.
  • Last Community Hockey Hub for Term 3 on Tuesday 7th September 2021 – special activities celebrating Live Well Learn Well Lead Well
  • Aspire Schools travel to Aurukun to deliver hockey supported programs at Aurukun State School 8th and 9th September 2021. Its great to be back at Aurukun and this follows Aspire Schools delivery of our program at Kowanyama earlier in Term 3. Join Wes Ferns as he returns to Aurukun to deliver the Live Well Learn Well Lead Well Hockey Program.
  • Aspire Team supporting BDO Nth Qld CHA end of term Secondary School Hockey Carnival on Thursday 9th September 2021
  • Aspire Ambassadors returning to Cairns and will be supporting Aspire Live Well Learn Well Lead Well Programs through pod casts and other engagement strategies.
  • Karumba Festival of Sport returns 14th -16th September 2021 when the team travels to Karumba in the Gulf Savannah to celebrate the completion of Gulf Hockey. 13 plus teams competing from schools across the Gulf Savannah.  Join Wes, Jess, David, Sawadu and Stephanie.
  • Mentoring support to the Aspire students participating and representing Cairns Hockey at the Hockey Queensland Under 15 Championships. Aspire Education and Training mentor will be supporting all Cairns Teams as part of the Aspire Pathways Program in Bundaberg and Gold Coast 19th -22nd September 2021
  • Finalizing on-line training framework Oceania Hockey Federation – Hook in4 Health Train the Hockey Leaders – Aspire to be Deadly Team will be delivering the training and mentoring support for the Oceania Hockey Hook in4 Health Partnership. This training is based on the best practice education and training programs created and delivered by Aspire to be Deadly Team
  • Aspire Team – Ongoing planning and finalization work plans for Term 4 2021 including the 2021 ACES HOCKEY ACADEMY beginning in mid- October 2021, Thursday School to Play Hockey – Summer 6s and the Community Hockey Hub activities including Deadly Choices workshops on Thursday, and a new mentor program at Cape York Girls Academy at Wangetti.
